Elaine Lee (writer) has had incarnations as an EMMY-nominated actress and playwright, artistic director of a theatre company (Wild Hair Productions), comic book writer and color artist, animation writer and story editor, video game writer and director of motion capture, art director for a music company, co-author of a humorous self-help book and writer/producer with AudioComics… a company that produces full-cast “audio movies” based on comics, graphic novels and genre fiction. Specializing in sci-fi, fantasy and horror, Elaine has created six original comic series (BrainBanx, Skin Tight Orbit, The Transmutation of Ike Garuda) and has written for a number of other titles (Indiana Jones, Prince Valiant, Ragman). She is best known as writer/creator of Vamps (with Will Simpson, for DC/Vertigo) and Starstruck (with Michael Kaluta, for Heavy Metal, Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW). Lee and Kaluta produced a Starstruck spin-off, The Galactic Girl Guides, for Dave Stevens’ Rocketeer Adventure Magazine (Comico), the stories recently collected in the Starstruck Deluxe Edition from IDW. She has written animation scripts for Niolan, A-Film and Stardust Entertainment/Hallmark Entertainment, and has blogged about creator-owned comics for the Huffington Post.

James Sherman
has worked for both DC and Marvel Comics. His first professional comics art appeared in Tarzan Family #65 and Blackhawk #248. He drew the Challengers of the Unknown lead feature in Super-Team Family #8–10 in collaboration with writer Steve Skeates and inker Jack Abel. James is best known for his pencil work on Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. He and writer Paul Levitz introduced the Dawnstar character in Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #226. In 1980, Sherman joined Upstart Associates, a shared studio space on West 29th Street in New York City. Founded by Howard ChaykinWalt SimonsonVal Mayerik, and Jim Starlin;[9] Sherman replaced Mayerik, who had left the city. At Marvel Comics, Sherman worked on various titles including The Spectacular Spider-Man. He and writer Elaine Lee co-created the 1991 noir space opera The Transmutation of Ike Garuda. James has done fill-in work from time-to time on a number of comic book titles, but primarily works in commercial art.
